The Sugar Skull Cushion 💀

As autumn approaches with this chill in the air, choose this Sugar Skull cushion for your next project to make.

A perfectly fabulous sugar skull shaped cushion kit to sew yourself in charted Victorian Cross-stitch Tapestry stitch.

Fantastic vibrant shades on a bright turquoise background. I’ve worked in monarch and blue-wing butterflies and a pair of bright green geckos.

These are surrounded by lots of dots and spots and some Mexican folk art embroidery shapes.

This design is definitely a boredom buster.
The sugar skull has a wide border outline in black wool which will help it stand out when completed.

Fine details on the butterfly wings are added at the end using embroidery stitches and Anchor Stranded Cotton.

Please be aware that the backing and stuffing are not included.
This is embroidered using Victorian cross stitch, a form of Counted Cross Stitch. You can choose whether or not to use s frame.
Everything you need to complete the skull shaped cushion front is included.
