Day two - Making a start 😁

Well, I didn't manage so much today, but I'm pleased with how the corner is coming along. How are you all getting on?

There were a few steps to reaching this!

I added more wool by sewing into the back of the work.

The bottom two rows are sewn and then I stitched the vertical rows by stacking the stitches.

Add in the next shade 8402 and stitch a single dark pink row, vertically and horizontally.

Finish off your wool by sewing into the back of your tapestry.

Now that the corner is good and square, I can start to add the pattern.

Choose your wool by matching up the symbol and shade with your wool skein.

I'm sewing a 3 stitch by 3 stitch little square with a lilac 8524. It is the star on your chart.

In this way, continue to stitch, changing wool shades by sewing into the back of your tapestry. You can see in the photo, that I have also sewn a few stitches of the picture to use up the wool already on the needle.

Remember to count where the threads intersect and not holes.

Don't strand the wool across blank canvas for more than a few stitches.

If possible, finish off your wool by sewing into the same wool shade at the back of your tapestry.

That's all for today! Roll on day 3, hopefully I'll get a bit further 😁😁😁

I'm hoping to start tomorrow, it's interesting to see that you start at a corner and not in the centre as in cross stitch, it might take me some getting used to.
