Sewing Light Areas

I've a few tips about sewing the lighter areas.
I normally sew background in place so I can start to add in light shades, such as the cream markings on the rabbit in this block. These follow on from the worked area. It means that it's easier to place the stitches correctly. Rather than making a mistake when counting blank canvas!
I've sewn in the grass leaving single stitch spaces for the flowers. Then, I could sew the small block for the tail and starting, with the paw, the body and the face.
Then as I sew the dark areas of body, dark fibers won't be pulled through and mix with the cream.
I've also taken care to finish the wool ends into the same colour, definitely not into the cream!
Please remember to count stitches where the threads intersect rather than the holes
That's all really for this weekend, I'll be stitching again on Monday. See you SALers then!
This is amazing! So well done. Next block in a few days!
Brilliant Janet, I've finished the bunny, just working on the sky. I forgot to take photos 😍
I've so enjoyed doing this, I couldn't put it down over the last 2 days.
Loving this!
