Troika Fairytale 

This beautiful hand painted Trinket box comes from Russia. Russian Lacquer Boxes ard made from papier-mache and lacquered with many layers of paint.There are only four places in Russia which hold a licence to produce these traditional boxes with miniature paintings, Russian Lacquer Boxes Fedoskino, Palekh, Mistera and Kholui.
 
This particular box has a scene from a Russian  fairytale, is from Misteria and is signed by the artist.
