The full collection of the Four Seasons Goddess Tapestries which form part of the Traquair House Chapel Needlework Collection.
These can be made into a cushion, wall hanging or picture. 
 
In 2005, I was approached by Traquair House to create a collection of tapestry kneelers. My brief was to look around the House and choose images and embroidery to inspire new designs.
 
The Goddesses are inspired by the Ceiling Painting depicting a fertility goddess in the Upper Drawing Room atTraquair House. The set of four comprises of Goddess designs for the seasons of  Summer, Winter, Autumn and Spring.
 
Further details were inspired by the amazing embroideries on display at Traquair House including Stuart Petit Point and Jacobean slips.
 
The complete Traquair House Chapel Needlework Collection is on view in the chapel and was embroidered by community stitchers to celebrate the 900th anniversary of Traquair House. Traquair House is a uniquely wonderful place to visit, once there, you will fall in love!
 
This design and would be enjoyed by all levels of experience. Sewn using Victorian cross stitch, no need for a frame.
