This design forms part of the Traquair House Chapel Needlework Collection.
Traquair House is home to a wonderful collection of Stuart and Jacobean embroideries. I was commissioned to design a collection of tapestries to celebrate the 900th anniversary of Traquair House. This Marigold Tile Tapestry is a small version of the larger Marigolds Tapestry Kneeler design. I was inspired by some of the Stuart Period petit points, which depict the marigolds or calendula.
These were stitched by a group of volunteers.
There's a collection of over 20 designs, which are exclusively sold by Animal Fayre Designs and Traquair House. They have a number of these available on their own website.
